Baby Iris

Only 5 days new in these pics... baby Iris was such a little sweetheart.  I traveled to her home in Cheyenne to do her newborn session, and we had quite a full afternoon!  Her big sister, McCauley, ran the show most of the day - she is such a doll.  But McCauley did give me a few breaks so I could play with her little sister...  

I love doing in-home newborn sessions - it is so much fun to incorporate the family's home, and especially the baby's nursery that has been so carefully decorated!  There are lots of favorites from this session...  

First off - here is big sister, McCauley!  I love all those curls and her big blue eyes!

Claire is One!

What a sweet baby girl!  It has been so much fun to watch little Claire grow over the past year.  Well, that, and it's been amazing to watch this amazing family grow over the years, too.  I've been photographing them since 2006 (I think!) and through 3 babies now.  What a blessing!  

Claire and her family comes to see me from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and it is ALWAYS a treat.  We got lots of cute shots of her - here are some of my favorites...  :)

It is so amazing - Claire is the spittin' image of her big sister, Grace.  I remember photographing Grace at this exact same age, and I can hardly tell them apart.  :)

Wyatt, Sawyer, Canton & Tripp

My oh my, did we have our hands full!  :)  With 4 little ones - ages 8, 4, 1 and newborn - I definitely had my work cut out for me.  But these kids were AWESOME!  They are all cousins, and we had such a fun morning together...

Baby Della

Another perfectly sweet newborn baby girl!  I couldn't have asked for a better session with little Della Ann - she was positively amazing for me the entire time.  And such a fresh little babe - only 5 days old!  My favorite!  I could have photographed this little miss all day long - and her family was such a joy to meet too.  SO many favorites from this session!

Baby Lilly

What a living doll!  Baby Lilly came to see me when she was just 5 days old, and she was as sweet as sugar.  I love it when I get babies that are this new - they are SO easy to work with, and I just love their fresh, itty bitty faces.  

And this family is so special to me!  I have photographed all three of their kiddo's newborn portraits (and several other stages in between).  It is so rewarding to get to be so involved with a family, and watch them grow through the years.  What a blessing to be able to capture all these memories for them!  I LOOOVE my clients!!  

Here are some of my favorites from Lilly's session.  As you can tell, I am gearing up for my little baby girl to arrive - I have SO many new fun girly things to play with!  :)

Baby Javen

Oh, what a beautiful baby boy!  You've got to see baby Javen's adorable little face... and check out that amazing hair!  You might remember his big (little) sister, Leanna Jean.  She just turned one - so yes - mom and dad have their hands full with a 13-month-old and a newborn!  :)   And I had my hands full during their newborn session.  ;)

Baby LJ was happy as a clam...  until the moment that we got Baby Javen happy.  Then she wanted nothing to do with pictures!  Of course!!  :)  But they are both such sweethearts - and I always enjoy time with this family!  

Thanks, Levi and Jeanny, for bringing your new baby boy to see me!  He is just precious, and I really enjoyed our time together (as always)!  I hope all your family and friends back in the Philipines enjoy all the pics too, since they can't be here in person.  Take care, and enjoy those little ones.  

Amos: What Happens When a Newborn Photographer Gets a Puppy

So...  as soon as we found out that we were having another baby girl, my husband asked if he could get a dog.  A *MALE* dog.  We had been talking about it for a while, and I figured, "why not?"  

Just one week later, along came Amos - an 8-week-old Wheaten Terrier.  And oh my, has he been fun!  And so darn cute, that even when he gets in trouble, I can't help but love the heck out of him!!  

I took these pics when he was about 10 weeks old.  He's now 14 weeks, but I just got around to looking at them.  It's been quite a hectic month at the studio, and of course, clients come first!  

Here are just a few favorites from his 10-week session.  I'm sure you can't tell that I'm a newborn photographer by trade... :)  It's just a good thing he's not a girl, or I would have put all of my different bows on his little head!

Kash and Spur

And now... for a little change of pace from all the recent newborn babes lately...  :)  Meet Kash and Spur - of the 4-legged variety!  Cassie asked me to photograph her dogs last month - Kash is an old and wise Lab, and Spur is a 4-month old Australian Shepherd.  Our main priority for the session was Kash, since he's getting older and having some health problems.  And what a great session we had!  I really enjoyed my time with these sweet pups - I wish I did more pet sessions - they are so much fun!

Thanks, Cassie, for bringing your "kiddos" for pictures!  I really enjoyed meeting your and your pups - and I had so much fun during our session together.  I love how they all turned out!  Talk to you soon!

Baby Kamryn

I've been excited for this baby girl to arrive for months!  And finally I get to meet Miss Kamryn... She is just perfect!  You might remember her twin brothers, Carson and Anthony - I've been photographing them for the past 4 years, and now they have a sweet baby sister.  So happy for this beautiful family!  

Look at those long fingers and nails!  Her mommy hadn't cut them yet, because she wanted to make sure I got some pics of them.  :)  

Congratulations, John and Jaci!  I had such a nice time visiting with you during our session, Jaci.  And I really enjoyed your sweet baby girl (even though she didn't feel like cooperating with us that day).  :)  Typical for a photographer's daughter, right?  I love all the shots that we got - she is one beautiful babe!

Landree and Crew

I spent the latter part of the week in Lincoln, visiting one of my very best friends (and fellow photograher) Megan.  She and Jim just welcomed sweet baby Landree into their family, and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on her!  We spent most of our time just hanging out, but at the very end of our visit, I got a few shots of the new little princess and her big brother, Crew.  I am in LOVE with both of these little ones...  Just look at how precious they are!
